Green Zone
With Paul Greengrass at the helm and Matt Damon starring, this looks from a first glance to be Bourne 4 without the Bourne title, but plotwise it is in fact a bit different. Chief Warrant Officer Miller (Damon) is stationed in Iraq in the aftermath of the U.S. invasion on the hunt for WMD. When intelligence he is given keeps coming up with dead ends, he questions the accuracy of the source. With doubt in his mind, a series of events lead him on his own personal search for the truth.
Plot-wise, Green Zone is pretty exciting, there is a lot of action with big shoot outs etc and the plot pulls these together. Damon is pretty good and holds the film together. The only major downside is Greengrass' editing style which isn't to my taste. The shaky-cam and the hundreds of cuts can be a bit annoying at times, but for the most part it's not too bad.
Overall, a pretty decent Iraq war set thriller.
