This Scottish/Irish horror movie is a bit of a mess. It follows an Irish mother and her son moving to Edinburgh. They are soon followed there by another pair of Irishmen, one sporting magical tattoos (James Nesbitt) which grant him supernatural powers and aid him in his quest to destroy the boy they seek.

The setting of an Edinburgh high-rise estate feels a bit strange; the plot is half monster movie and half weird supernatural thriller and neither parts make much sense and the film has very few, if any likeable characters.

Overall, a bit of a waste of time.
