This Irish musical tells the story of a street busker (The Guy) and a Czech immigrant to Ireland (The Girl). The pair meet on the streets of Dublin where the guy is busking and strike up a friendship, as he learns she too has a passion for music we follow them as they record a few songs and talk about their lives and loves.

While this is definitely a musical, it's less over-the-top than most, with the folky songs being quite far removed from the usual big show-tune numbers. I still found the singing pieces overly long and a little boring though, although if you like this kind of music you'll probably find otherwise. The main actors do well and there's a wry humour present which makes for entertaining viewing.

Overall, a well made low-budget film with a nice feel and some great performances. Would have been more to my liking without all the singing though, but that would have defeated the point ...
